The open-air version of Nendo’s organic Saki seating system is available in two variants: Saki Outdoor, with sleek lacquered panels, and Saki Cord Outdoor, featuring wicker-effect woven cord panels. Both offer a wide range of finishes and can be combined to create sophisticated compositions with a strong personality. Inspired by blooming flowers—“Saki” in Japanese—the sinuous backrest and armrest panels embrace the soft seating and enveloping cushions.

Following its modular concept, the collection includes 2-, 3- and 4-seat sofas, elements in two depths, armchairs with or without armrests, benches and cosy islands in different configurations, with fixed curved feet or swivel bases. The generous, rounded seating is finished with perimeter piping, while precise tailoring details enhance the upholstery profiles. Pewter-varnished die-cast aluminium feet complete the collection, reinforcing its elegant, enveloping aesthetic and distinctive character.

Structure: In marine-grade plywood. The plywood structure is coated in high-resilience, variable-density polyurethane foam and quilted viscose fibre to ensure greater softness. The structure is then encased in water-repellent polyester upholstery to better protect the padding from water and humidity. Fine tailoring of the seat and backrest upholstery features piping in the same material as the upholstery.

Support panels are available in structural polyurethane (Baydur® 60) with a glossy outdoor lacquer finish in Moka, Cappuccino, Army Green, Celadon or Terracotta, or in Ø12 mm tubular stainless steel covered with Ø5 mm woven wicker-effect matt fibre in Mud, Licorice, Cappuccino or Celadon. The stainless-steel version features a Bronze epoxy powder-coat finish with a glossy anti-fingerprint treatment. 

Cushions: Backrest cushion padding in viscose fibre with core insert in high-resilience, variable-density polyurethane foam contoured to ensure optimal adhesion to the support panels.

Covers: Seat and backrest cushions are completely removable; first remove the support panel and then unzip the zipper that joins the backrest and armrest cushions to the seat.

Feet: In cast aluminium varnished Pewter colour with glossy anti-fingerprint finish. Protective polyethylene rubber pads, pewter colour. The swivel Islands have a perimeter base in sheet stainless steel, varnished Pewter colour with glossy anti-fingerprint finish. Rests on rigid castors in polyamide with thermoplastic polyurethane strip and stainless-steel support. The castors allow the element to swivel 360°.
